Cloud9 has parted ways with their Dota 2 roster due to recent disappointing result
— Cloud9 (@Cloud9) May 13, 2017
Due to sub-par results and the overall lack of success, the Cloud9 Dota 2 roster will not only part ways with the organisation but also dissolve the whole roster line-up. This means the 5 Danish players will be splitting up, and are currently up for grabs as free agents. It has not been announced where the members will settle down even though there is only less than a week before the end of the Post-Kiev Shuffle’s drop period ends.
Cloud9’s disbanded roster:
Marcus ‘Ace’ Hoelgaard
Jon ’13abyKnight’ Andersen
Mikki ‘HeStEJoE-RoTTeN’ Mørch Junget
Danny ‘NoiA’ Mørch Junget
Christoffer ‘Ryze’ Borregaard Winther
This is extremely disappointing on Cloud 9’s part, as expectations of the team were very high. This decision by the Cloud 9 likely spells the exit of the major organisation from the Dota 2 scene once again. It comes after Cloud 9 early this year decided to come back to the competitive Dota 2 scene after a long 1 year break. It is also likely that Cloud 9 will once again step back from Dota 2 as there is only less than a week before the closing date to sign new players for the Post-Kiev Shuffle.
