Counter Logic Gaming vs. Team Liquid are matched up against each other for the North American League of Legends Challenger Series to be held Saturday March 12, 2016 in Day 1, Week 8 of the competition.
Darshan : Lourlo
Xmithie : Dardoch
Huhi : Fenix
Stixxay : Piglet
Aphromoo : Matt
CLG have looked strong in recent weeks, beating both Immortals and Cloud9, their two closest contenders. Darshan’s splitpush pressure, along with Xmithie’s new champion pool increase can cause a lot of chaos in their games, forcing their enemies to make careless mistakes and give up objectives when they don’t need to. Huhi and Stixxay have been consistent in the mid lane, and have been a good source of damage in their team fights.
For Liquid, Lourlo has stepped up in recent weeks, avoiding getting ganked and farming well, he has provided a mix of damage and utility, allowing his team to succeed. However, Liquid’s shotcalling has been questionable, and lost them many late game situations. If they can work on creating a plan on the fly, they can definitely surge in the ranks, looking towards playoffs.
Overall, I expect CLG to win, but Liquid could definitely cause a surprise if they can create an early game lead and snowball it hard.
Chance of victory: Counter Logic Gaming: 65% : Team Liquid: 35%
