Dignitas and Gambit are matched up against each other in the GO:CL Championship Group Stage to be held on the 9th of March 2016 at 18:00 CET.
Dignitas have been on a four match losing streak recently losing their last four matches to Cloud9, Renegades and two maps to Astralis. However they were playing pretty well before that. A week ago, MSL tweeted out that Dignitas would be focussing on widening their map pool which could make Dignitas quite strong. Dignitas are a team that is not aim based; they are moderately skilled while at the same time really depending on their strategic aspect of the game. The team relies on certain maps to best their opponents and if they do not get a suitable map they falter. As such MSL’s decision to focus on their map pools makes sense.
Gambit were the surprise team of the recently concluded LAN. They had some really great wins over Cloud9 and Renegades. These teams are considered Tier One NA teams and losing to Waylander and Hooch definitely shows the progress that’s been made on the part of the CIS team. Gambit however had the advantage of being the underdog, as such no one expected them to perform so well. Their performance definitely put a spotlight on them and they will now be much easier to understand and study for Dignitas. MSL is most certainly going to spend time to try to break down the CIS team’s tactics.
Aim-wise Dignitas are much better and they seem better in terms of their gameplay as well. The only thing that can probably sting them is their lack of a wide map pool.
The Prediction : 65%-35% Dignitas
The bet : Low Dignitas
