Facebook invests into eSports streaming rights

According to a report by EsportsObserver Facebook is deeply interested in the eSports scene. After succesful involvement of several NBA and Football personalities with eSports, it seems the social Media Giant might just as well be the next to follow.

The original report by TheInformation states that Facebook is holding talks with several companies including Activision Blizzard to stream games live on the social media platform. MLG Anaheim was one of the first events to be live cast on Facebook.

 

“With over 1.6 billion people on the platform and a growing suite of VOD and live-streaming products that partners can use to increase engagement, Facebook is uniquely positioned to help esports fans connect around exciting moments and great esports content.”
