Fnatic enters Overwatch scene with Nubris

Fnatic has signed the Nubris Overwatch roster, welcoming 7 execptional players from the Overwatch scene.

The European team Fnatic has announced that the new Overwatch roster will be staying in North America to play and compete in tournaments. This is due to the infantiity of Overwatch as major tournaments are yet to come, and will likely first appear in North America before transferring other regions.

Signed players :

  • Robert “Roflgator” Malecki (Coach)
  • Scott “custa” Kennedy (Support)
  • Oliver “Vonethil” Lager (Support)
  • Casey “buds” McIlwaine (DPS)
  • André “iddqd” Dahlström (DPS)
  • Warsi Faraaz “Stoop” Waris (Tank)
  • Matthew “coolmatt69” Iorio (Flex)

Even though the community hasn’t seen much game play from these players yet, as streamed tournaments are yet to come, there is no doubt these players will be one of the best. Fnatic is notorious for finding new and upcoming talent, and I believe the roster will show great potential. Fnatic is also well known for polishing players up to become stage ready, as it is one of the biggest Esports organizations out there.

“coolmatt69” stated that “It really means a lot to be Fnatic’s first US based team. They saw enough potential in us that they considered it worthwhile to transcend regions. We’ll be sure to repay their faith.” This will opportunity is huge for him, as new and upcoming players like him are what makes the Esports scene so exciting.

Some of the player such as “buds” and “Stoop” were previously part of the original Team EnvyUs Overwatch team whom competed in the Beta, so their game knowledge is impeccable making them an important asset to the whole team.
