According to the official statement by the organizers of The World Championship that was published last Friday, players from the national team of Kazakhstan violated the rules of the tournament in their match against the French national team, which was held on September 22nd. It was found out that Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov was using Evgeniy “zLex” Kim’s account and playing instead of him. As a result, the outcome of the match was nullified, and all the players involved were banned from participating at TWC for the next 2 years.

Gambit Esports could not leave the incident unattended as it involved three members of Gambit CS:GO. First of all, we would like to apologize to the organizers of the tournament, the French national team and the fans of the Kazakhstan national team. Such actions violate competitive integrity and cannot be performed by professional players.

With that being said, AdreN, mou and Dosia will be fined one third of their monthly salary. Accumulated funds will be used for charity – the next time Rustem and Dauren arrive in Kazakhstan, they will make a donation to one of the orphanages in Almaty.
