H2K Gaming vs. G2 Esports are matched up against each other for the European League of Legends Challenger Series to be held Sunday February 14, 2016 in Day 2, Week 5 of the competition.
The hyped roster of H2K have sure lived up to expectations, holding an impressive record of 7-1 thus far. A well balanced team of carry players and supportive ones, on paper H2K is one of the best EU teams that could be assembled. Mid laner Ryu has not been seen recently due to visa issues, however substitute SELFIE has played well in his shoes and the team does not look noticeably weaker. It is still unsure whether Ryu is able to step in for week 5, which could mean the difference versus one of the better teams in the league.
G2 Esports exploded with an impact not many were expecting. Many of the West’s audience have not seen the two Koreans on G2 before, underestimating their ability. Emperor in particular, showed to be a promising AD carry on CJ Entus Blaze. The second foreigner, Trick, is the primary reason why G2’s macro play is so well thought out. His pathing is superb, and lead to G2 establishing great vision control and execution of rotations. Tying together the team is midlaner PerkZ, a former Challenger series player who has rarely lost lane against even some of the best mids in EU, and shows he has the potential to develop into a star player.
This showdown between the two top teams in EU was won by H2K the last time they played, however if Ryu does not show up, G2 have a good chance to take victory.
Predictions: H2K 55% l G2 Esports 45%
