H2K vs. Elements – EU LCS – Week 9 – Day 2 – Preview

H2K vs. Elements are matched up against each other for the European League of Legends Series to be held Friday, March 18, 2016 – Week 9 – Day 2

Odoamne : Steve

Jankos : Gilius

Ryu : Eika

Vander : sprattel

H2K are looking to go for 1st place, and will need a win here to put pressure onto G2 Esports, who they are currently tied 1st with. Their roster has been dominant and they have made few mistakes in their games. Each of their lanes are mechanically better than Elements, and their macro play is a lot better, mainly due to Pr0lly, their coach, who ensures that they always understand what he wants them to do, and how they should do it, and the players are good enough to make it happen.

For Elements, they need to win this week to try and secure the 7th place spot, so they don’t have to go through the relegation tournament to get to the next split safely. Steve and MrRalleZ have been good carries for the team in games they have won, and Steve’s splitpush pressure on champions like Fiora allow them to get objectives and towers down easily. Eika has been poor in recent weeks, making poor decisions and losing lane frequently, but has pulled out different picks such as Karma. They will be looking to play a strong early game, because they’ll need to have a good gold lead to make sure they can snowball into the mid and late game.

Overall, I expect H2K to win this game somewhat easily, as long as they stay on track and play their own game. However, Elements could cause an upset, through a bad call by H2K, or by a good catch or teamfight from Elements.

Chance of victory: H2K: 75% : Elements: 25%
