Immortals exit League of Legends

Immortals CEO Noah Whinston confirms end of IMTs LoL division

After a report by ESPN mentions that Immortals had been denied a position in the 2018 NA LCS and would be exiting the League of Legends scene, Immortals has confirmed both these reports. As the NA LCS for 2018 moves towards a League system, where positions in the league much be purchased and approve by Riot, Immortals were denied a spot.

Since the League will be the home to LoL esports, failing to be accepted would cripple any organisation’s aspirations in the League of Legends scene.

As a result, Noah Whinston has confirmed through a video posted on Immortal’s Youtube channel the organisation will cease all operations in LoL. This follows a series of departures from existing coaching staff and players on the team.
