Invictus Gaming vs. QG Reapers are matched up against each other for the Tencent LoL Pro League Series to be held Saturday March 19, 2016 in Day 3, Week 7 of the competition.
IG have been around forever, and they’ve been super consistent in their gameplay even through their roster changes over the years. This year, they’ve shown that they are a strong mid tier team. After watching a couple of their games, the stand out of their roster is their jungler Kid. He has amazing timings, insane counter ganking and coordinated synergy with his other laners. Kid’s strong presence backed with Zztai’s rock solid top lane has allowed for strong cohesive team fights. However, that being said, Rookie has shown a lot of weakness in his laning phase, failing to break even and fulfil his job to carry.
QG Reapers are the ROX Tigers/Immortals of China. They boast carry laners and mechanical godliness. Their previous game against EDG showed just how dominant some of their laners are. QG top laner V finished EDG off with a KDA of 12, applying a lot of pressure on key targets. QG are able to dominate the game from the beginning, which should help to further inflate their scores and KDAs.
Overall, QG have very dominant lanes with excellent map control and vision made by Swift. But what IG and QG have in common are their struggling mid laners. Every time QG takes a step forward, they seem intent on taking a step backwards as well. Their mid laner DoinB is going to need to adapt his champion pool because it currently remains small and composed entirely of short-ranged champions.
Prediction: Invictus Gaming 40% | QG Reapers 60%
