Fnatic and Luminosity Gaming are matched up against each other in the final match of the IEM Katowice to be held on the 5th of March 2016 at 18:00 CET.
Fnatic have undoubtedly been the best team in the world since 2015. Dominating their opponents and consistently managing to climb back no matter how steep the slope. Fnatic’s journey in this tournament has been really impressive. They have easily been the second best team in the tournament behind Luminosity Gaming.
Fnatic’s roster is becoming dangerously strong. Not only are they really good on puggy maps such as Cache, Dust2 and Cobblestone. They are also performing admirably well on maps such as Train, Inferno and Mirage.
Players waited for more than 16 hours to play the each other!

On the opposing side, Luminosity Gaming have been nothing short of amazing. The team consistently change their roster even at their peak in order to become the best in the world. The brazilian team is the youngest top ten team in the world. . LG have a very diverse map pool, however LG definitely have an uphill task in front of them as they try to take down Fnatic. Fnatic are regarded as the best in the world for a reason.
The final is a best of five match. The best of five format puts into play almost all the maps into the match. Each team will be banning only one map and then picking the respective maps. Luminosity Gaming would be at a slightly advantageous position given the BO5 format.
The Swedes still favor puggy maps and while that might be true, I expect LG to ban at least Dust2 or Cache. The remaining maps of Train, Overpass Mirage are all really good maps for LG.
The Prediction : 65% – 35% Fnatic
The Bet : Low to Medium on LG
