Luminosity Gaming drop Coach

Luminosity Gaming had a very disappointing performance at the recently concluded Overwatch Open. They played three matches in all losing 0-2 to Misfits. Their sole win was a 2-0 win against Anox. While Anox is a decent team, this result was way below what LG were expecting of themselves.

Yesterday LG announced that they will be dropping their Coach mkL. They have nothing to say about him but positive reviews. However it is also visible that they have been differences in the expectations.

Here is the post announced on their website :

Effective today, Mikael “mkL” Skjonhaug has been released from his responsibilities as coach of the Overwatch team. We want to thank mkL for all the effort and time he put into his role on the Overwatch team.  He always maintained his professionalism and would be a positive addition to any team.  Unfortunately, in this instance the team felt it was best to make a change.  Teams interested in his services can contact him directly at
