Navi v Pries

Welcome to the preview of the match between Natus Vincere and PRIES G2A in the eighth final of Beyond The Summit Europe edition.

Going into this matchup, Na’vi have never played PRIES G2A competitively with these two teams only played against each other in ARDM mode, PRIES.G2A won this matchup.

We all know about Na’vi, a well-known organization across all the gaming platforms, most prominent in Dota 2 and CS:GO, they’ve been the best in the Dota 2 scene since the very start of Dota 2 winning one TI and finishing as finalists in two other editions of the TI. But things has gone a bit bleak for Na’vi over the past couple years following bad form and roster change which included their captian Clement “Puppey” Ivanov and Kuro “Kuroky” Salehi leaving the team to build Team Secret. And most recently Alexandar “XBOCT” Dashkevich also left the team. The offlaner for Na’vi Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov also left the team after a few weeks of XBOCT’s departure. Na’vi surprisingly has shown some great effort after the departure of XBOCT with the new carry ‘Ditya Ra’ replacing the spot and AxMo taking place of Funnik. At present, it’s fair to say Na’vi have been doing pretty well considering the roster changes.

A little less known team in this matchup but are definitely a well-noticed team in EU scene and Russian scene following their run in tier 3 and tier 4 while they were known as Yellow Submarine. The players of Yellow Submarine moved to various tier 2 teams and after G2A decided to sponsor the then roster of Yellow Submarine, PRIES.G2A was formed. They have been average in their tier right now.

Looking at Na’vi, they’ve been doing pretty well despite the roster changes beating OG(a team which is dominating lately) once and taking a game off OG in another encounter as as Team Secret in another encounter(one of the dominant teams). Na’vi have been consistently beating tier 2 teams and tier 3 teams like Hellraisers and STARK. PRIES.G2A on the other hand shouldn’t be underestimated since they have been fairly ‘okay’ in their tier which is supposedly tier 3 or tier 4. They have been beating tier 4 teams and some tier 3 teams but been failing to put up a fight against tier 1 and tier 2 teams which makes this a hugely favoured navi game.

Prediction: Navi 75% – 25% PRIES.G2A

My Opinion: Na’vi should take this game easily even though there is a slight chance of upset by PRIES. Looking at Na’vi’s form, they should be able to 2-0 or at least a win by 2-1 to move on to the quarterfinals of BTS EU.
