Northern Arena hands out the last three invites to CSGO teams

The final three invite teams have been confirmed for Northern Arena Montreal 2016 presented by Bell as G2 Esports, OpTic Gaming, and Counter-Logic Gaming will all be attending the event in November. All three of these teams have shown good performances in recent events and will surely be bringing their momentum to Montreal.

G2 Esports and OpTic Gaming recently met each other at ESL One New York, with OpTic surprising many by coming out on top and eliminating G2 from the tournament. This will be G2’s chance to redeem themselves against OpTic, who also managed to eliminate the powerful Danish squad, Astralis. OpTic came really close to beating out Virtus Pro in Round 5 of ESL One New York, only showing that with their new lineup firing on all cylinders, they are able to give the world’s best teams a run for their money.

CLG, on the other hand, showed a formidable performance at Northern Arena Toronto back in September. They managed to beat NRG 2-1 in a best of three, but were unfortunately eliminated by a top-form Cloud 9 roster in the quarter-finals. CLG hope to bring the fight back to NRG and some of the other top-tier talent that will be showcased at Northern Arena Montreal 2016, including some of the impressive European talent in Heroic, G2, and EnVyUs.

With Team Liquid recently showing that they can still perform at a high level even with the loss of s1mple to Na’Vi, they look to try and clinch a North American LAN championship in Montreal with the help of their newest player Pimp.

Only one team remains to be named as we await the Call of the North qualifier in a few weeks, where semi-professional Canadian teams will battle it out for a spot to compete against the pros on LAN.

Northern Arena Montreal 2016 will boast many interesting match ups and story lines, so be sure to tune in on Twitch for the first two three days November 10-12 and get your ticketsto the grand finals on November 13th at the world-famous Bell Centre.

With these invites the final list for Northern Arena has been decided. The Northern Arena BEAT Invitational will take place on November 13th.
