Royal Never Give Up vs. Origen are matched up against each other for the League of Legends IEM Katowice tournament to be held Friday, March 4, 2016 – Day 1 Game 2

Looper : Soaz

Mlxg : Amazing

Xiaohu : PowerOfEvil

Wuxx : Zven

Mata : Mithy

Royal Never Give Up

Royal Never Give Up are currently top of their bracket in the LPL, tied with Invictus Gaming. Their roster is extremely strong, with the veterans of Looper and Mata, mixed with the new talent of mlxg, Xiaohu and Wuxx. They have obviously performed extremely well to be top of their LPL bracket and recently placed first in 2015 NESO, showing how strong their roster is.

On the side of Origen, their performance this split has been poor. Sitting in 6th place at 7-7, their only working formula has been a protect the Zven comp, but with bans on champions like Lulu, Alistar or Braum, that can be very hard to pull off, especially on the international stage. They will need to work on their early game and using both their solo laners to carry, if they wish to have a chance. Soaz can carry but is left to splitpush on his own, as long as he has enough warding to be protected from ganks.

Overall, Royal are a much better team mechanically, and Looper is deadly in the top lane, which could cause trouble for Soaz. It will be difficult for Origen to win this, and I expect Royal to dominate the early game, to secure a lead they can snowball off.

Chance of victory: Royal Never Give Up: 70% : Origen: 30%
