Team Impulse vs. Immortals are matched up against each other for the North American League of Legends Challenger Series to be held Sunday March 20, 2016 in Day 2, Week 9 of the competition.
Feng : Huni
Procxin : Reignover
Pirean : Pobelter
Mash : WildTurtle
Gate : Adrian
Desperatley going for the 7th place safe spot, TIP will need to win both their games, and have Echo Fox lose both, as they do lose their head to head with Echo Fox. However it is very unlikely that this happens. However, in past weeks Immortals have come close to losing against lower ranked teams, meaning that if Team Impulse can identify what mistakes Immortals made, and force them to reproduce them, they could put themselves in similar situations to Team Dignitas, and Renegades, who both came close to winning against Immortals. A strong early game is a must, if they can gain game tempo, allowing them to take an extra tower or get a neutral objective over Immortals, they could use that to extend a lead. They will also have to play flawlessly themselves, with plenty of communication and foresight to help themselves not get behind.
For Immortals, they just need to keep playing as they have done for 15 games this season, snowballing Huni early on, then allowing Pobelter and WildTurtle to pick up the remains if the game goes late. It’s a working strategy that only CLG have seemed to break, and as long as they don’t get complacent, and do their homework on each team they face, they could go 17-1 this split, which, while isn’t a flawless split, is pretty close!
Chance of victory: Team Impulse: 5% : Immortals: 95%.
