Team Liquid vs. Cloud9 are matched up against each other for the North American League of Legends Challenger Series to be held Sunday March 20, 2016 in Day 2, Week 9 of the competition.
Lourlo : Balls
Dardoch : Rush
Fenix : Jensen
Piglet : Sneaky
Matt : Hai
Team Liquid are on the lower end of the playoff’s group, and need to pick up wins in the last week to cement their place. Their roster has been somewhat mediocre, sometimes beating teams above them, such as CLG last week, but losing to teams lower than them, like Renegades in week 1, and Echo Fox in week 6. Their roster seems strong on paper, but without a solid, experienced shot caller, it seems as though their macro play isn’t as strong as other teams, which is why they’re at the middle of the table. If Dardoch can get on an early game champion, like Lee Sin, then he has the capability to make plays that get his team ahead, and can snowball from there.
For C9, they are looking to take 2nd place for themselves. Their head to head with CLG, who are also in second is currently at 1-1, meaning if both teams tie for 2nd, there will be a tie breaker to be played. C9 can avoid this by winning both games this week and CLG losing just one, then C9 will finish 2nd. Their roster is very strong, with threats from all lanes, and Hai’s legendary shotcalling is literally second to none. Their macro play is very strong, and Hai always knows what to do, in every situation.
Overall, C9 do have the better team, as reflected in the standings, meaning they should, in theory take this game, but TL could always upset them, and take the win.
Chance of victory: Team Liquid: 30% : Cloud9: 70%
